ABOUT OVERLOAD /// In a world ever more full of constant information and changing news, it is hard to sift through the noise and pay attention to what is happening. For "Overload" the New Genres Collective will had members read from a variety of sources all at the same time while moving around the gallery space. Readings included diaries, books, recipes, and instruction manuels, among other things. For 10 minutes, this cacophony of sound and motion forced viewers to try and focus to pick out what they could from each performer or just take in the white noise of information that we all have to deal with on a daily basis.
